Communications Advisor UK
The main duties of the role
- Assist Strategic Communications Manager to deliver positive communications on all media channels.
- Develop clear messages via creative media relations; produce high quality content for all channels; managing reactive media enquiries & opportunities, and monitoring media coverage.
- Develop links with business units to produce positive news stories for internal and external comms channels.
- Assist with specific comms campaigns and events with internal and external stakeholders, as required by Comms Manager.
- Coordinate with Europe and Global Communications teams to disseminate good news stories.
- Work closely with external agencies and contractors for content and PR opportunities.
Accountabilities
- EXTERNAL COMMS
- Creating innovative social media content; monitoring and replying to social enquiries
- Checking media coverage
- Handling incoming media enquiries
- Coordinating photo/video content for all channels
- Updating UK website with news and press releases
- INTERNAL COMMS
- Create content for internal newsletters and intranet
- Support internal comms campaigns
- Support internal business events
- Work with partners to develop comms
- Provide comms support for UK departments
- Provide admin support as directed by Strategic Communications Manager
Skills Required:
- Relevant degree level qualification -Comms / PR / Media / Journalism / English
- Some valid B2B or sector experience in comms and PR
- Excellent verbal & written skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong planning and organising skills
