Warehouse Technician
Warehouse Technician

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the new Warehouse. To ensure the safe and secure reception, dispatch, storage, display and transportation within the warehouse of spares parts, auxiliary equipment and consumables. Working in co-ordination with all plant staff to maintain the operational integrity of the warehouse environment, with particular regard to health and safety

Main Accountabilities Include:

  • Ensures all Health & Safety policies are implemented and adhered to.
  • Comply with the CEMEX Inventory Policy
  • Unloading & loading of goods into and out of the warehouse.
  • Create material codes in SAP according to the procedures or extend the materials to the plant.
  • Receipt of goods & equipment into the warehouse.
  • Verify the received goods & equipment comply with the information of the purchase order and delivery note.
  • Coordinate the deliveries and transport with the different destinations
  • Maintaining accurate stock locations and identification of parts.
  • Post all issue voucher requests & dispatch equipment / parts to Materials business locations within the UK.
  • Accurately cutting to length, rubber conveyor belt material as requested.
  • Performs stocktaking cycle counts to maintain stock level accuracy.
  • Tagging
  • Maintain a properly order in the warehouse
  • General housekeeping of the warehouse, ensuring all loose and flammable packaging materials are removed and disposed of in an environmentally way.
  • Archiving delivery notes, electronic vouchers
  • Managing warehouse inventory levels and stock replacement (MRP).
  • Responsible for identifying and disposing obsolete inventory

Skills Required:

  • Inventory control, stock identification and location systems & product knowledge.
  • Must have counterbalance fork lift license and a telescopic FLT license.
  • Understanding of ERP systems. (SAP)
  • Spatial awareness for storing of bulk goods
  • Stocktaking in high turnover business.
  • Sound understanding of MS Office Word & Excel.
