An unusual visitor called Grace came to visit CEMEX's head office.

An unusual visitor called Grace came to visit CEMEX's head office.

The tiny visitor was  a baby hedgehog who is being cared for by the Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue charity, an animal rescue centre in Surrey.

CEMEX employees have been supporting the charity which is passionate about the plight of the hedgehog and their dwindling numbers.  In the 1950s there were 36.5 million in the UK,  now it is about 1 million and it is predicted that by 2025 they will be extinct.

The charity is launching a campaign called Saving Grace to encourage us all to make our gardens more hedgehog friendly -  leave holes under fences to allow them to get in and out  while searching for food and plant more insect friendly plants, vegetables and flowers in our gardens.
