Dave Retires after 53 Years

August 04, 2022
After a career spanning over 50 years Dave Cross, a IHC in Yorkshire, retires at the end of this month.

On the 1st January 1969 Dave started his career with the Readymix division working in the garage as a mechanic at Elland Road Leeds. Dave also drove a mixer truck and the shovel as and when required.

Dave left the company in 1971 to pursue other things and started back at RMC as an IHC in January 1980, driving an 8-wheeler tipper and a JCB for clearing away waste from all the Concrete plants in Yorkshire. Dave did this until he dissolved his company in November 2005. He then started work in Stourton for RMC as a loading shovel driver.

In February 2006 CEMEX took on Dave as an LGV Driver and he has been based in Stourton, Leeds until his retirement this year in August 2022.

We would like to thank Dave for all his hard work over the years and he will be missed by his team in Yorkshire.  We wish Dave and his family all the best for the future.
