Mechanical Supervisor
Main Duties:
- Coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance resources to deliver excellence in plant reliability in the designated area of the plant whilst meeting safety, health, environmental and financial targets.
- Enforce safe operations and maintain environmental compliance
- Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance plan
- Collaborate with Planning Department to ensure suitable parts; labour and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
- Ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
- Coordinate deployment of labour, parts and equipment resources
- Manage the section mechanical team concerning productivity, motivation and discipline.
- Monitor performance of own staff and contractors and ensure jobs proceeding to plan.
- Supervise the carrying out of preventative maintenance inspections
Skills Required:
- Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent or National Certificate (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor (degree) Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years experience Mechanical Coordinator/Maintenance Team Leader or Deputy/Graduate Engineer in a cement plant
