Otter spotted at Attenborough Nature Reserve

Otter spotted at Attenborough Nature Reserve

May 15, 2018
Tim Sexton from the Wildlife Centre in Attenborough had a fantastic close-up encounter with an otter last week which stayed long enough for a number of other visitors to see and enjoy it. This has been very positively received as a mark that the reserve is in good shape!

Attenborough Nature Reserve covers 145 hectares of lakes, wetland, grassland and scrub which is also part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The Visitor Centre is an award winning visitor and education facility surrounded by the tranquil waters of the beautiful Attenborough Nature Reserve, owned and managed by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. It was formerly one of our active quarries.
