Pontoons are used as gangways and wave breakers. The production of the pontoons takes place in a precast factory by PONTECH. The concrete is produced and supplied as high-performance concrete. Concrete is designed as a C35/45 with resistance to seawater exposure (XS3) and a high freeze-thaw resistance (XF4) without artificial air

6,200m³ of concrete was placed underwater in 2 sections as the first waterproofing and stabilisation layer by industrial divers. The concrete mix was optimised for low leaching behaviour and pumped and placed with 2 x 52m concrete pumps. To process approximately 100 m³/hour, a stationary plant and a mobile plant were used on-site to support the deliveries. The water was pumped out at this building site after the concrete had hardened. However, situating concrete underwater for its permanent placement is also possible.
