Cowdray Park Polo Pitch

Cowdray Park Sports Sand Usage

CEMEX were able to provide the world-renowned Cowdray Park Polo Club in Midhurst, West Sussex, England, with 3,000 tonnes of neogem Sports Sand Pro, in preparation for the Gold Cup competition.

The club was looking for a sand which could increase the grip for horses while on the pitch, enhancing performance, and offer better drainage.

The sand also needed to allow horses to run safely and comfortably during damp conditions, helping their hooves to grip to the grass.

Through close working relationship have been able to supply the sand throughout the season as repairs and top-ups to the pitches are needed.

Top players from around the world will compete in the Welsh Open Championships at Victoria Park, Cardiff. Finland, Germany, Italy, USA, Ireland, Spain, Wales, England, Scotland and Latvia to name a few.

Washed and graded at our wharf in Wales, we we’re able to  quickly supply Cardiff Beach Volleyball with 500 tonnes of our neogem Sports Sand, saving them time and money ahead of their tournaments.
