New Lidl Supermarket Project

SudsFlow Use In Aldi Supermarket Construction

As part of their build specifications Lidl supermarkets requires permeable paving on most of their stores in the UK to help manage drainage.

Working with, K&L Groundworks in County Durham, CEMEX's Jarrow Wharf & Recycling Plant provided selected crushed marine gravel for use as a drainage aggregate for a new LIDL store project in Pelaw.

To ensure paving around the Lidl store had excellent drainage in poor weather conditions CEMEX's SudsFlow was an ideal aggregate to deliver top-quality performance. Easy to apply, durable and can be used for multiple applications - making it the ideal drainage layer for paving, driveways and more.

SudsFlow Used To Enhance Rugby Pitch Drainage

Walsall Rugby Football Club

SudsFlow helps pitch drainage at Walsall Rugby Club

Whilst transforming the Walsall Rugby Football Club into a third-generation sports pitch, McArdles Sport Tec required a permeable drainage aggregate solution to stay ahead of the game! 

Built in full accordance with Sports and Play Construction Association and Sport England guidelines, Walsall RFC wanted a safe and stable sporting facility that would enhance their athletes’ performance, even during difficult weather conditions such as rain and snow. Struggling to source a drainage solution to meet their specifications, McArdles contacted CEMEX for support, where they recommended SudsFlow, a product part of their high-performance aggregates brand ‘neogem’ - A natural and simple to install limestone aggregate, specifically designed to allow easy drainage and prevent flash flooding. 

A dedicated neogem project manager worked closely with the client throughout the entire process, ensuring all the logistics were in place to deliver the product in line with the project demands.   A total of five and a half thousand tonnes of SudsFlow Drainage Solution was sustainably delivered in a ready to use format, throughout a 3-4 week period. McArdles were exceptionally happy with the level of expertise and customer service provided by the neogem project manager.
