Fantastic Factory Visit

The 710,000 sq. ft assembly plant employs over 1,000 people with a current build rate of over 88 truck per day – destined for the UK, Europe, and worldwide markets.

The CEMEX Team experienced the production line at full capacity producing the latest models of trucks and a full guided tour of the factory was given, seeing a truck assembled from parts arriving at one end to driving off the line. The Apprentices witnessed how closely the production teams had to work on the line to achieve the continuous flow along the moving line and the advanced quality control involved and like CEMEX going home safely was central to their operation.

The Team at DAF were impressed with CEMEX commitment to train young drivers and we had great feedback from our apprentices on how informative and enjoyable the experience had been.
