CEMEX is proud to manufacture a wide range of high quality British cements using locally quarried materials and additives – helping to build a better future.

We supply cement and fly ash in bulk tankers by road, rail and sea to customers throughout the UK for readymix concrete and precast concrete products. We also offer a wide range of bagged cement and cementitious products which are distributed to builders through a national network of builders merchant partners.

At CEMEX we pioneered the inclusion of recycled materials into our products to produce more sustainable cements with lower carbon footprints. Our Carbon Labelling and Carbon Footprint Calculator were industry firsts.

We help our customers improve the sustainability credentials of their products and projects with technical advice and the correct selection of product type.

Cement is a fine powder, obtained from the calcination at 1,450°C of a mix of limestone, clay, and iron ore. The product of the calcination process is clinker—the main ingredient of cement—that is finely ground with gypsum and other chemical additives to produce cement.
