Lean yellow belt training at Rugby Cement Plant
An unusual name for training that is currently going on at Rugby Cement Plant.
The ‘Lean’ refers to making a business or organisation leaner and more efficient and the 'yellow belt' is about the level of entry for the training, which in this case is the entry level.
The training is all about changing the working environment by continuous improvement to drive increased safety and effectiveness.
Already five training sessions have been held and by the end of April everyone at the Plant and associated Quarries will have been trained.
Six modules are presented for the yellow belt - Introduction, Waste, Visual Management, 5S (highlighting the 5 steps to continuous improvement), Standard Work and Kaizen (another word for Continuous improvement).
