Lest we forget - Lend a hand.
November 24, 2022
A team from Dove Holes Quarry recently attended a Lend a Hand event at the remembrance garden and war memorial at the neighbouring village, Peak Dale. Well done to everyone involved including Liam Perkins, Mark Gould, Harry Griffin and Steve Croft.
The group worked hard clearing fallen leaves and making the paths safe and accessible for those attending the remembrance Sunday service. In all 12 bulk bags of leaves, moss and dirt were collected and removed.
Mark Gould, who organised the event was very pleased with how the area looked when they had finished and in particular how positive and grateful the natives of Peak Dale were. “One of the lads involved lives in Peak Dale and posted some pictures on the Peak Dale Facebook page” explained Mark. “The response to our hard work has been brilliant from the Peak Dale villagers and not only is it an honour to work on a project like this, but the positive feedback also makes it all worthwhile” he said.
