Mechanical Supervisor

Main Duties:

  • Coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance resources to deliver excellence in plant reliability in the designated area of the plant whilst meeting safety, health, environmental and financial targets. 
  • Enforce safe operations and maintain environmental compliance 
  • Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance plan
  • Collaborate with Planning Department to ensure suitable parts; labour and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
  • Ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
  • Coordinate deployment of labour, parts and equipment resources 
  • Manage the section mechanical team concerning productivity, motivation and discipline. 
  • Monitor performance of own staff and contractors and ensure jobs proceeding to plan. 
  • Supervise the carrying out of preventative maintenance inspections 
     

Skills Required:

  • Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent or National Certificate (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Bachelor (degree) Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 years experience Mechanical Coordinator/Maintenance Team Leader or Deputy/Graduate Engineer in a cement plant
